02. Make Your First Look Your Own

Your first look can happen in so many different ways.
You can see each other in the morning, while you’re getting ready at your hotel. Maybe your partner waits in another room, you walk in, and that’s the first time you see each other that day.
Or you can save that moment for the ceremony itself.
Imagine arriving separately —and having your partner see you for the very first time as you walk toward your ceremony.
This version feels a little more traditional and a little more dramatic. Add a violinist or cellist playing your favorite song, and suddenly the whole moment feels like a wedding ceremony but in your own Parisian way.
Think about when you want that first look to happen and how you want it to feel. We can build the rest of your Paris elopement day around that moment.

03. Make Your Bouquet Personal

Your bouquet doesn’t have to be just beautiful, it can be personal, too.
You can choose any flowers and style you love, but you can also add a little detail that means something to you: a small photo of someone you wish could be there, a meaningful charm or medallion, a handwritten note, or even a little message attached to the flowers or written on the flowers as on this picture.
It can be something only you understand, or a detail that makes you think of someone special throughout the day. Or simply choose the bouquet you’ve always dreamed of. There’s no right or wrong here, make it yours.

04.Make a Champagne Moment

Whether you choose a private terrace or a beautiful public location, I love the idea of having a little celebration waiting for you after your ceremony.
It could be a beautiful champagne table with chilled bottles, delicate glasses, and a few little sweet or savory bites whatever feels like you.
Or maybe champagne isn’t your thing. Have your favorite cocktail instead. A shot you’ve always wanted to take together. Your favorite wine. Or even a beautiful non-alcoholic drink there are so many elegant options now that can feel just as celebratory.
You could even turn it into a little champagne tasting, trying a few different bottles and taking your time with it.

05. Make Your Cake Personal

Your wedding cake can be whatever you want it to be.
It could be a tiny bento cake just for the two of you, or a beautiful multi-tiered cake if you’ve always dreamed of having a big one. It could even be a tower of croissants, your favorite dessert, or something very French that you’ve never tried before.
Add a little message on top something meaningful, funny, or completely unexpected. You could even have a surprise message prepared for your partner to discover when the cake arrives.
Choose a flavor you both love, or make the cake part of your Paris experience with something beautifully French. Think macarons, a croquembouche, or another classic French pastry.
And if you’re not really into sweets, that’s completely fine too. Your “cake” could be something savory that you both love.
Because cutting the cake isn’t really about the cake. It’s a little wedding tradition and you can make it completely yours.
Make it beautiful, make it personal, and most importantly, make it feel like a celebration.

06. Arrive in a Vintage French Car

A vintage French car can turn your elopement into a little Parisian adventure and it adds something completely different to your photos and film.
You can take a ride through Paris with a private driver, but the car can also become part of the experience even when you’re not driving. We can stop in beautiful spots, use it as part of your portraits, and create different looks with the Eiffel Tower or Parisian streets in the background.
You can even turn the car itself into part of your celebration: have your cake, breakfast, champagne, or a little picnic moment right there.
It’s beautiful, it’s very French, and most importantly, it gives your Paris elopement another little adventure to remember.

09. Take a Private Boat Ride on the Seine

If you want to experience Paris from a completely different perspective, take your elopement onto the Seine.
You can arrange a private boat and make it whatever you want it to be a relaxed lunch, an intimate dinner, a few glasses of champagne and little bites, or simply a beautiful private ride through the city.
Cruise past the Eiffel Tower, see Paris from the water, and use the journey as part of your photo and video session. You don’t have to choose between an experience and beautiful portraits you can have both.
And honestly, this is one of my personal favorite ways to experience Paris. There is something incredibly peaceful about being on the water, watching the city pass by, and seeing all those iconic places from a completely different angle.
If you ask me, Paris from the Seine is always a good idea.

09. Have a Beautiful French Lunch

Make lunch part of the experience, not just a break between locations.
You can simply reserve a beautiful table at a Parisian restaurant and enjoy an incredible French meal together. Or make it more personal with a private chef who creates a tasting menu just for you perhaps in your hotel, a private space, or another beautiful setting.
You can keep it simple or make the meal a real experience, with several courses, wine pairings, champagne, and dishes chosen especially for you.
And yes, I absolutely recommend documenting the food, too.
It might seem funny to photograph your lunch on your wedding day, but years from now, you’ll probably want to remember what you actually ate. What was on your plates? What did the table look like? Which wine did you drink? What did the glasses and tableware look like?
These little details become time capsules. They bring you back not only to what your wedding day looked like, but what it felt like.
And I love the idea of being able to tell your friends years later, “This is what we had for lunch the day we got married in Paris.”
